When I reached out to an editor to see if there would be interest in bringing a comic strip to the magazine, I was told that they were actually in the process of launching one, and was asked to join in on it.  In this unique comic experiment, for over 3 years, myself and a small handful of other rotating artists would be handed a photograph submitted by readers and tasked to use it as a panel in an original comic(usually with very short turnover time).
