Despite the many pitfalls of bots, misinformation, and toxic dialogue, social media has also evolved to create more dynamic platforms for creative expression and ways to celebrate new ideas. I’ve enjoyed exploring these platforms as with this Instagram tribute celebrating the life of artist Sharon Jones after her passing. Each square served as its own post, highlighting a view of the artist, but came together to create a fuller connected image on the Instagram wall after all six were shared. The final version was then shared by the Irondale Center.
